How this practice marks you

The advertisement does not publish a formula, so this practice uses the plain reading of 400 words = 20 marks: one mark for every 20 correct words. 10 marks means 200 correct words in 10 minutes. Backspace is off, because candidates report it disabled - if it turns out to work on the day, you will only find the test easier.

Practise the 10-minute test

Take the 400-word English test with backspace off and see your correct words and estimated marks.

The mistake that fails most candidates

Treating the test as pass or fail. The typing marks go into your merit, and every 20 correct words is a mark - the same as a screening question. With backspace off, steady 38-40 WPM with few mistakes is worth far more than bursts of 50 with errors.
