91typing.com ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We built 91typing.com to be privacy-friendly — you can try typing without an account, and we only collect the information needed to save your progress, run Premium subscriptions, and pay out referrals.
01Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address (and optionally your mobile number) to create and identify your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider.
- Typing statistics: WPM, accuracy, test duration, and session metadata are stored against your account so your progress, history, and certificates are available across devices.
- Billing information: If you purchase a Premium plan, our payment partner collects and processes your payment details. We store only the resulting order, plan, and transaction records — never your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
- Referral & payout information: If you take part in our Refer & Earn program, we collect the payout details you provide (such as your UPI ID or bank details) to send your earnings.
- Usage data: We may collect anonymised page-view and feature-usage events to improve the product. We do not capture or store the actual text of your keystrokes outside the typing-statistics described above.
02How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the 91typing.com service, including personalised analytics, progress tracking, certificates, and leaderboard features.
- To process Premium subscriptions, issue receipts, manage renewals, and handle refund requests.
- To operate the Refer & Earn program — attributing referrals, calculating earnings, and processing payouts.
- To send account-related messages (OTP verification, password reset, payment and subscription notices). We do not send promotional emails without your consent.
- To aggregate anonymised usage statistics that help us understand how users interact with the platform.
03Payments & Billing
- Premium plan payments are processed securely by Razorpay over an encrypted (256-bit SSL) connection. Your card, net-banking, and UPI credentials are handled by Razorpay and are never seen or stored on our servers.
- We retain transaction metadata — order ID, plan, amount, status, and date — for accounting, tax, and support purposes as required by law.
- Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.
04Data Storage & Security
- Account and typing data are stored on our secure servers. Guest sessions (when you are not signed in) are kept only in your browser and are not synced to us.
- We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
- Free-tier typing records are retained for a limited window (currently 7 days); Premium members keep their full, unlimited history.
- We retain account data until you delete your account, after which it is de-activated and flagged for removal as described below.
05Cookies & Tracking
- We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for authentication (session and refresh tokens). No third-party advertising cookies are used.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
- We share data only with the service providers needed to run 91typing.com — for example, Razorpay for payments and our email provider for OTP and account notices.
- Analytics events, if any, are anonymised and used only for product improvement.
06Your Rights
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may update your account information at any time from your profile settings.
- Deletion: You can delete your account yourself from your profile's danger zone — we verify the request with an email OTP, then de-activate and flag your account for removal. You may also email priya.vinay3092@gmail.com.
- Portability: You may export your typing statistics from your profile settings.
07Children's Privacy
- 91typing.com is designed for users of all ages including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
- If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us immediately.
08Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on the website.
- Continued use of 91typing.com after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
