01About this test
UPSSSC typing skill test for Junior Assistant, Junior Clerk, Assistant Grade III and similar Group C posts. It is qualifying, and both English and Hindi must be cleared.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Duration: 5 minutes per language. English is typed first, then Hindi, on the same day.
- 3Speed: 30 WPM net in English and 25 WPM net in Hindi.
- 4The first 5 errors are free; each error after that deducts 5 words.
- 5Full mistakes count 1; half mistakes (spacing, capitalisation, punctuation, transposition, paragraph) count 0.5.
- 6In the exam, backspace works only on the current word and the one before it.
- 7Hindi is typed in Kruti Dev 010 or Mangal InScript - your choice.
03How you are scored
Errors = full mistakes + half mistakes x 0.5. Net WPM = (words typed - (errors - 5) x 5) / 5 minutes.
04Important notes
- The typing test is qualifying - its marks are not added to the merit list.
- Do not use Ctrl, Delete or the arrow keys in the exam.
