01About this test
UPPSC Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Hindi typing test. Review Officers are exempt, and the test is qualifying.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Choose your Hindi keyboard layout - InScript, Remington GAIL or Kruti Dev - before the test begins. It cannot be changed during the test.
- 3Duration: 5 minutes, after a 2-minute demo session.
- 4Speed: 25 WPM net in Hindi.
- 5Mistakes up to 5% of the words typed are relaxed, but only if you type at least 125 words.
- 6In the exam, backspace works only within the word you are typing.
- 7Hindi is typed in Kruti Dev 010 or Mangal InScript; Remington GAIL is not offered.
- 8The screen freezes at 00:00 without warning. If you finish early, you may type the passage again.
03How you are scored
Net WPM = (words typed - (mistakes - 5% of words typed) x 5) / 5 minutes.
04Important notes
- UPPSC has not published the deduction per mistake beyond 5%; this practice uses 5 words.
