01About this test
RRB NTPC Computer Based Typing Skill Test for the clerk-cum-typist and time-keeper posts. You type in the language you opted for, and the test is qualifying.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Duration: 10 minutes.
- 3Speed: 30 WPM net in English or 25 WPM net in Hindi. Type at least 300 (English) or 250 (Hindi) words.
- 4Mistakes up to 5% of the words typed are ignored; each one after that deducts 10 words.
- 5Backspace, Delete, the arrow keys and all editing tools are disabled.
- 6If you finish the passage, start typing it again from the beginning.
- 7Hindi is typed in Kruti Dev 010 or Mangal on the Remington GAIL layout.
03How you are scored
Mistakes = full + half / 2. Net WPM = (words typed - (mistakes - 5% of words typed) x 10) / 10 minutes.
04Important notes
- The typing test is qualifying - your merit comes from CBT 2.
