MPSC Clerk-Typist English Mock Typing Test

01About this test

MPSC Group C typing skill test for Clerk-Typist and Tax Assistant. You type in one language - Marathi or English, as chosen when applying - and the test is qualifying.

02Rules

1. 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
2. 2Duration: 10 minutes (15 minutes for PwBD candidates).
3. 3Speed: Marathi 30 WPM (1,500 key strokes) or English 40 WPM (2,000 key strokes).
4. 4Errors may not exceed 7% of the words given: 21 in a 300-word Marathi passage, 28 in a 400-word English one.
5. 5Errors: omission, addition, transposition, substitution or repetition of a letter or word.
6. 6Marathi is typed on the Remington Marathi keyboard. Complete letters with the K key, not Shift+A.
7. 7Backspace is allowed; the arrow and navigation keys are not.

• •In the exam a 5-minute keyboard check and a 5-minute mock come first.
