01About this test
KVS Junior Secretariat Assistant typing test on computer, part of the skill test. You type in one language, and the test is qualifying.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Choose your Hindi keyboard layout - InScript, Remington GAIL or Kruti Dev - before the test begins. It cannot be changed during the test.
- 3Duration: 10 minutes.
- 4Speed: 35 WPM net in English or 30 WPM net in Hindi.
- 5Type at least 1,750 key depressions in English or 1,500 in Hindi.
- 6Every wrong word is subtracted from your gross words.
- 7Backspace is allowed. There is no word or error highlighting and no auto-scroll.
- 8The skill test also includes a Computer Proficiency Test.
03How you are scored
Net WPM = (key depressions / 5 - wrong words) / 10 minutes.
04Important notes
- NVS JSA, in the same drive, needs 30 WPM English or 25 WPM Hindi.
