01About this test
GCC-TBC 30 WPM speed passage (MSCE Pune). You type in the language you registered for, and every mistake costs one of the 40 marks.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Choose your Hindi keyboard layout - InScript, Remington GAIL or Kruti Dev - before the test begins. It cannot be changed during the test.
- 3Duration: 7 minutes, after a 3-minute trial in the exam.
- 4Passage: about 210 words (30 WPM).
- 5The speed passage is worth 40 marks; one mark is deducted for every mistake or extra word.
- 6You need 16 marks to pass - at most 24 mistakes. Every word you do not reach also costs a mark here.
- 7Marathi and Hindi are typed in Mangal on InScript; Remington is offered too.
03How you are scored
Marks = 40 - mistakes - words not reached. Pass = 16 marks (at most 24 mistakes).
04Important notes
- The full exam also has a 25-mark objective and a 35-mark practical section, with 40% needed in each.
