01About this test
BHU Junior Clerk computer typing test, taken right after the written test. It is qualifying, and your written test is marked only if you clear it.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Duration: 15 minutes, in English or Hindi.
- 3Speed: 30 WPM net in English or 25 WPM net in Hindi - 450 or 375 correct words.
- 4Accuracy of at least 85%, worked out as net speed / gross speed.
- 5Backspace is allowed; the current, correct and wrong words are highlighted on screen.
- 6Do not skip or join words - in the exam every word after a skipped word can be marked wrong.
- 7Hindi is typed in Mangal InScript or Remington GAIL; the layout cannot be changed during the test.
03How you are scored
Gross speed = words typed / 15. Net speed = correct words / 15. Accuracy = net speed / gross speed x 100.
04Important notes
- There is no interview - final selection is by written-test score among candidates who qualify typing.
