01About this test
Allahabad High Court Junior Assistant and Paid Apprentice typing test on computer, run by NTA. Each language is worth 25 marks, and the marks count towards your merit.
02Rules
- 1Each mock test uses its own fixed passage, so you can retake it and compare results.
- 2Choose your Hindi keyboard layout - InScript, Remington GAIL or Kruti Dev - before the test begins. It cannot be changed during the test.
- 3Duration: 10 minutes per language.
- 4Speed: 30 WPM net in English (about 300 words) and 25 WPM net in Hindi (about 250 words).
- 5You need at least 10 of 25 marks and the net speed in each language.
- 6Speed is counted over the time you use, so submit as soon as you finish the passage.
- 7Wrong and left-out words are full mistakes; words typed beyond the passage are ignored.
- 8Hindi is typed in Mangal InScript. Delete, Tab, Enter, Ctrl and the function keys are blocked in the exam.
03How you are scored
Net speed = correct words / minutes used. Marks = 25 - mistakes x (25 / words in the passage).
04Important notes
- Backspace is allowed at any time.
- There is no scribe or extra time in any stage.
